As the founder of Lights Camera Live, I'm in the business of taking brands from unknown to unforgettable.

One of the best ways to do that is networking with others in your industry and growing together.

When you are live streaming and have prospective leads coming through, how do you connect with those who want to learn more about your business, your product, or your service?

And, are you tracking those leads? How do you keep your contacts organized?

I talk about this on my new Lights Camera Live Interview Spotlight with Michaela Underdahl, the Senior Community Manager at Nimble.

Nimble is an extraordinarily powerful CRM that helps you build strategic partnerships, stay organized, and build your brand.

When I say strategic partnerships, I don't mean just getting a sponsored post. I'm talking about brand sponsorships and brand partnerships.

When a company is thinking about its roadmap for 2021, are you a part of that conversation? Do you have a seat at the table? Do you know anyone on their marketing team to connect with?

If your goal in 2021 is to level up your business and increase awareness for your brand, form new partnerships, and make more revenue, you need to try out Nimble.

Let's get started.

What is Nimble?

Nimble is a CRM, or a customer relationship management tool, that helps you organize and keep track of your contacts.

Imagine a platform where you can make a note of a connection's upcoming live show, set a reminder to promote it for them, and send out an email blast to notify others in your industry, all from one place.

That's just a snippet of what Nimble does.

Nimble's features include:

  • Organizing your appointments and tasks

  • Combining contacts, social media connections, communications, and inboxes with other 160 apps

  • Showing a 360-degree view of your customers, leads, and what's in the pipeline

  • Segmenting your contacts into lists and groups

  • Setting follow up tasks to stay top of mind with your connections

And more.

It's a cloud-based app that connects all of your contacts in Outlook, Google, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and other social media platforms.

Nimble also ties in your calendar, makes it easier to communicate with your connections, and helps you remember who is who.

One of the best features Nimble offers is a contact record.

If you're anything like me, you talk with people all day, every day on social media. When you get a LinkedIn message, how do you remember who the person is and how you know them?

In the contact record, you can write down how you know the person, who connected you, what live stream of yours they originally watched, their likes/dislikes, interests, and more.

With the Nimble Chrome extension, it's easy to import contacts from your social media platforms. If you get a Twitter DM from a new connection, hover over their name, add to Nimble, and add additional details to their contact card.

You can also categorize and organize your contacts into unique lists and groups, create email templates, send messages, and track your emails' engagement, including if the message was opened, how many times, and if they clicked a link.

With the contact discovery tool, you can input a person's name and the company they work with to find their email address and other important information you might need before reaching out to them.

In short, Nimble is your go-to tool for nurturing relationships.

How do strategic partnerships help build your brand?

In this digital age of social media, networking happens almost exclusively online. That's why it's more important than ever to have a powerful CRM to help you build strategic partnerships.

When you network with someone, it's not enough to just think, "We both like social media." That's the common denominator between you both, but how can you take your relationship further and really get to know one another?

With Nimble, you can remember who the person is, stay connected on a consistent basis, and strengthen and nurture your relationships. It allows you to map out how you know someone and helps you go beyond sending a message every few months or even years.

When you expand and extend your network, you get to help others and grow together. That’s how strategic partnerships are formed: by going beyond your common denominator and deepening your relationship.

Another way to grow your business using Nimble is by using sales funnels. You can create your own sales funnel descriptors, including awareness, conversion, and everything in between.

After each discovery call, add notes to the person's contact card, set the probability of a closed deal, the value, the expected closing date, and more. Then, pull in your communication history from social media and your email, attach any documents you've sent back and forth, make a note each time you speak, and set follow-ups.

Think about the brands you worked with in 2020. Instead of finishing your collaboration and hoping they reach out to you in the future, you can use Nimble to set a follow-up task to check back in 2021 to see what new projects they have in the pipeline.

Having this ability is huge for anyone looking to expand their business in 2021.
