With all the talk about how Facebook Business Pages are no longer getting any engagement, I thought you would appreciate a few battle-tested, Stephanie approved tips and tricks to bring your Facebook Business Page back to life.

10 WAYS TO BOOST YOUR FACEBOOK PAGE ENGAGEMENT

1. Understand Your Audience's Needs

Get to really know who your ideal Facebook fan really is. What is she most passionate about? What gets her really excited? What keeps her up in the middle of the night? Find out what her needs are then you can brainstorm content that she actually craves. You can easily do this by sending out a survey to your email list or post in relevant Facebook groups.

2. CREATE EPIC CONTENT

Now that you know what your audience wants, it's time to get cracking on that share-worthy content. Set aside time make all of your valuable content ideas come to life whether it's a blog post, Facebook Live video, podcast episode, etc. - sit your booty down and get to work!

For us, we usually start things off with a Facebook Live episode then repurpose that content into a blog post, YouTube video and so on.

Even better, create design templates to streamline your workflow. I personally design all of my blog post images in Canva and my intern jumps in and duplicates the original to create an image for the next blog post. When you have a system down, it makes creating content so much easier.

3. UNDERSTAND YOUR PAGE INSIGHTS

Did you know that you can see when your fans are most active on Facebook?

All you have to do is go to your Facebook Business Page > Insights > Posts.

You'll see a graph that shows you when your audience is most active on Facebook. That means you can post your content on days your audience is most likely to actually see it in their news feed.

4. SHARE THE LOVE

Here's something else that you should know.

Social media is a sharing economy.

And as human beings, we have this innate need inside of us to reciprocate whenever someone does something nice for us.

So if you share content that another entrepreneur has worked hard on, she'll most likely return the favor and share your content with her audience. Win, win baby!

Make sure to "tag" the other Facebook Business Page so your content is shared with a broader audience.

Oh and bonus points if you set up Crossposting so that you and others in your niche can share videos. It's been amazing to see a boost in video views once I had that set up.

5. ADD VIRAL VIDEOS

Post viral videos that your fans will find entertaining and be compelled to share.

A great resource for finding viral videos is Buzzsumo.com. They make it super easy for your to find share-worthy content. You just type in your industry topic and boom! You'll find a bunch of articles, interviews, and videos that you can add to your editorial calendar.

To only see video results, just click 'Content Type' on the left navigation and select Videos only.

6. GIVE FACEBOOK TRAFFIC

The good traffic - website traffic. Not that stop and go nonsense.

Share your Facebook posts on other social media channels. That means if you're going live on Facebook, promote it on LinkedIn, Pinterest, Twitter!

Facebook wants their users to stay on their platform longer so if they notice that you are driving traffic to them, the algorithm gods could keep your posts longer in the news feed.

7. GO LIVE ON FACEBOOK

Facebook Live is one of the best ways to keep your brand top of mind and tip of tongue. Each time you create a live broadcast, Facebook sends a notification to your Facebook fans. And the longer your live video the better because Facebook will put you at the top of the news feed.

Just make sure that if you're going to go live on Facebook that you know exactly what it is that you want to accomplish (nobody likes a rambler 😝).

8. CREATE A FACEBOOK MESSENGER BOT

On my Facebook Business Page, I usually create a freebie that my fans can download via Facebook Messenger if they leave a comment on my live video.

Here's an example of how I've used a Facebook Messenger Bot to increase engagement on my Facebook Business Page.

9. GIVE OUT SAMPLES

You know who's a super bomb ass marketer? The Sample Lady at the grocery store. You know who I'm talking about.

Every time we go to the grocery store, the Sample Lady has people lined up to get a taste of what she's got.

As an entrepreneur, I encourage you to do the same with your audience.

Host a Free Coaching Friday session on your Facebook Business Page where fans can type in their questions and you answer them right then and there.

10. LEVERAGE FACEBOOK ADVERTISING

Listen, Facebook has more than a billion users! And with Facebook advertising, you can get your foot in the door to your target audience in a short amount of time.

Take your top performing organic post then amplify it with a Facebook Engagement Post ad and target your ideal audience.

Just make sure that the post you're putting ad money behind has a call to action that encourages fans to leave a comment or share so you can really get a spike in engagement.
